We work on retainer basis, and we believe that a retainer represents the commitment from both sides for an executive search engagement, which in turn, is a critical factor to ensure the success of the assignment. Focus

Shanton Way believes that the only way we can have sustainable advantage in this highly competitive executive search market is to keep focusing on specific search areas. We don’t have the ambition to be a “total solution provider” who can search for any industry, any level of positions, for any function, and in any country.

By staying focused, we are able to build and maintain the state of art database that is possible to cover almost every top individual player in a certain market segment. A highly concentrated, superiorly relevant, and very intensive talent database helps us greatly to fulfill the clients’ recruitment needs in a most accurate and efficient manner.

Search Techniques

Despite a solid database we have, our team members always follow a systematic approach to source candidates from all possible channels, far beyond just the existing database, to minimize the risk of missing any potential candidates. No matter how strong a database is, it simply cannot replace the hard work and proactive search activities performed by experienced search consultants and associates. We commit to map out the relevant talent pool comprehensively, if not exhaustively, in any engagement.

We have established a variety of measurement to monitor the search progression on daily basis. Nevertheless, we understand that more initiative approach needs to be taken to ensure successful search results. Even with the powerful network platforms, critical information is not yet close to transparent today. It takes sophisticated skills, creative imaginations, and tenacious efforts to dig out valuable candidates.

We are confident and proud to say that Shanton Way is an expert in utilizing highly integrated hunting techniques to find out the deepest hidden and most passive candidates in the executive market . Our researchers are trained in the most sophisticated and effective headhunting techniques, which ensure that we target the right people quickly, successfully and professionally.

Capacity Management

To control the quality of the search, we carefully manage our capacity. For any search assignment, a dedicated triangle team including one consultant and  two associates will be responsible for the delivery. More importantly, each triangle team is limited to conduct a maximum number of assignments simultaneously at any given time. By putting resources almost twice as most of our competitors do, we deliver a faster and more accurate search, which we believe to be the key to win repeating clients and engagements  in the headhunting industry.

Candidate Relationship

We value the relationship with our candidates as much as we do with our clients.  If an employment decision goes wrong, our client will sacrifice significantly.  It will affect the business results, morale of the team, quality of the work, as so on and so forth. However, for our candidate, it is nothing less than a tragedy. It will have a big negative impact not only on the career of the candidate,  but the life of him/herself, and even the happiness of his/her family.

Therefore, we seriously consider the suitableness of a job opportunity not only from our client’s perspective but also from that of our candidate. We carefully probe the candidates’ motivation and career target, objectively remind them of the potential challenges in the job, especially if we find they have neglected these challenges.  We will try our very best to help the candidates to evaluate the likelihood of achieving their  job satisfaction through the positions we recommend, by getting them as much as we can  objective information about the position, be it positive or negative.  We believe that great candidate relationship firstly come from honesty and objectivity, and  then from our sincere willingness to help candidates launch the right jobs with our search processes.
